Burullus Lake

Burullus Lake is a coastal lake on the Mediterranean Sea in Northern Egypt. The lake’s ecosystem has deteriorated since the Aswan High Dam Construction in 1965.

Burullus Protected Area (BPA) lies near to the Mediterranean Sea on the fringe of the Nile Delta of Egypt. It was declared as a national protected area in 1998. It is a critically endangered ecosystem according to the Red List of Ecosystems | IUCN.
